Proof is not a traffic chart. Proof is a decision that changed.

Search Intelligence presents results by showing the decision faced, the evidence surfaced, the interpretation applied, the action taken and the value created, protected or clarified.
No performance theatre. No unsupported causality. No activity presented as an outcome.
Search Governance requires a higher proof standard.
Rankings, impressions, clicks, sessions and conversions can all be useful evidence.
Search Intelligence uses performance evidence inside a broader governance record.
The SI proof standard, the SI proof chain
A credible outcome record should show nine things.
What counts as a result: a changed condition supported by enough evidence to explain the baseline, what was observed, why it mattered, what was decided, implemented, and what value can responsibly be supported, positive, negative, unchanged or Unknown.
Baseline condition
What was observed before the decision or intervention.
Materiality
Why the condition mattered to the organisation or customer.
Evidence status
Observed, interpreted, modelled, validated, illustrative or conditional.
Decision and ownership
What the organisation decided and who owned the response.
Implementation
What was changed, by whom and within what period.
Changed condition
What the later evidence shows.
Contribution
What relationship between action and outcome can responsibly be supported.
Limitations
What remains uncertain, unmeasured or outside the organisation's control.
Review and learning
What should happen next.
The outcome areas SI may evaluate
Nine domains, each with its own evidence and record.
Organic Search performance
Broader, more durable presence, not one isolated ranking.
Product and Service Understanding
An important uncertainty about benefits, fees or eligibility was resolved.
Demand Progression
More relevant customers reached or progressed through a viable journey.
Sales Contribution
Stronger enquiry quality and a clearer connection between search demand and Sales priorities.
Competitive Position
Decision space protected, reclaimed, displaced or established.
AI and Source Integrity
Representation became more accurate, consistent or reproducible after correction.
Value recovered, a weakened or lost condition restored, is one of the classifications the Value Classification Record retains, alongside value created, protected, avoided and not realised.
Every public proof asset must identify
Public evidence classifications
Illustrative Method Demonstration
Shows how the SI method works. It does not claim a client outcome.
Anonymised Evidence Story
Uses real governed evidence without identifying the organisation. Permission, scope and limitations remain controlled.
Validated Client Case
The evidence, chronology, permissions, calculations and attribution boundaries have been reviewed and approved.
Public Outcome Record
A named, dated and reviewable record with sufficient evidence to support the public claim.
Conditional Draft
Evidence or permission remains incomplete. Must stay unpublished and absent from public navigation until release conditions are satisfied.
Client-reference principle
A client reference, testimonial or evidence conversation operates through a controlled process establishing permission, what may be discussed, confidentiality boundaries and when the permission expires. A reference conversation does not replace the retained evidence pack.
A method demonstration is not a client claim.
What is published here is the standard, the control set and a clearly labelled method demonstration: From Finding to Governed Action, the illustrative applied proof demonstration and the populated illustrative Executive Scoreboard and control records.
Conditional evidence stories stay unpublished until their scope, period, methodology, attribution, permission and limitations have passed the Results and Proof controls. It must not be described as a client result.
The correct response to an incomplete proof asset is not stronger promotional language. It is to keep the boundary visible.
A governed observation model helps distinguish
Outcome proof domains
A governed result may contribute evidence across these domains.
What Search Intelligence will not do.
Each publishable case should answer eleven questions.
Some of the most valuable Search Intelligence work involves avoided loss, earlier recognition or improved decision quality. These outcomes are easy to overstate if the evidence standard is weak.
Before publishing a case, Search Intelligence retains the measurement period, the scope, the evidence sources, the comparison method, the interpretation record, the decision and action log, the outcome evidence, the attribution limitations and the permission required for publication.
Start by establishing the baseline.
A Diagnostic Intelligence Assessment creates the first evidence set: what the organisation can see, what may be excluded, where customer confidence is exposed, where ownership is unclear, which signals are strong enough to act on and what should be governed first.
Applied proof available today
Two resources provide a populated, clearly labelled method demonstration showing how a condition moves from business question to value classification. The example is fictional and must not be described as a client result.
Available as a method demonstration
From Finding to Governed Action, and the populated illustrative Executive Scoreboard and control records.
