1. Introduction

Search Intelligence (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. Your information should not disappear into an unexplained system. This controlled Privacy Policy explains who is responsible for personal information, what may be collected, why it may be used, who may receive it, how long it may be retained and which rights or choices are available.

Ask what is held, why it is needed and how it is used.

2. Required Verified Entity Details

  • Legal entity and registration number
  • Registered and physical addresses
  • Information Officer and contact route
  • Relevant processors and operators
  • Hosting and international processing
  • Retention schedule
  • Direct-marketing practices
  • Complaint and request routes

3. Information Categories

Depending on the interaction, SI may process contact and identity information, organisation and commercial context, Diagnostic responses, communications, engagement records and website technical information.

4. Processing Purposes

Possible purposes include delivering a Diagnostic result, responding to enquiries, arranging conversations, evaluating relevance, preparing and delivering services, maintaining evidence and governance records, operating the website, protecting systems, meeting legal obligations and sending optional marketing where permitted.

5. Diagnostic Boundary

The Diagnostic produces a self-reported readiness profile. It does not verify organisational evidence, perform a formal audit, provide assurance or make a legally significant automated decision.

6. Necessary Follow-Up and Marketing

Submitting a request may permit SI to respond to that request and provide the requested result or resource. It must not automatically subscribe you to unrelated marketing. Optional marketing consent is separate and withdrawable at any time.

7. Retention and Security

Personal information is kept only for the approved purpose, contractual or legal obligations, security, disputes or legitimate recordkeeping, using reasonable technical and organisational safeguards against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

8. Call Tracking and Monitoring

Search Intelligence utilises call tracking services to monitor and analyse phone calls made to our business. By using call tracking, we may collect information such as the phone number of the caller, the time and duration of the call, and any information provided during the call relevant to our services. Please note:

  • We may listen to calls for quality assurance, training purposes, and to improve our customer service.
  • Call monitoring helps us understand the needs and preferences of our customers better.
  • Your consent to call tracking is implied by contacting us via phone or using our services.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Strictly necessary technologies run the site — security, sessions, form submission, abuse prevention and remembering your cookie choice. Analytics are optional, are held until you accept them, and tell us which pages and calls to action are used. We do not use cookies or web beacons to deliver personalised advertising, and no advertising technology is deployed on this site.

  • A banner asks you to choose on your first visit, naming each category. Until you choose, only strictly necessary technologies run.
  • You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page. A withdrawal applies from your next page load.
  • You can also adjust your browser settings to limit or block cookies entirely, independently of that choice.

Each technology in use is named, with its provider, purpose, category and duration, in the Technology Register in our Cookie Policy.

10. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties under the following circumstances:

  • With your consent.
  • To comply with legal obligations or enforce our policies.
  • Service providers who assist us in operating our website or conducting our business (e.g., website hosting, analytics).
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.

11. Rights and Complaints

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, marketing changes, consent withdrawal or information about processing through the verified Information Officer route: diane@seolens.co.za.

12. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices and legal requirements. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy for any updates.
